Signed and dated in ink; inscribed, Moscow. Before the tail of the robe at left and the tip of the shoe at right are broken off; according to Newman only four such proofs were printed. Designed and cut in Florence in 1909, the present impression, hand-printed on thin buff wove paper was made in Moscow in 1910 and sent home in a letter.
