Urushibara came to England to demonstrate Japanese colour woodcut techniques at the 1910 Anglo-Japanese Exhibition. He worked closely with the artist, Frank Brangwyn, and was instrumental in raising awareness and reviving appreciation of Japanese woodcuts and influenced other artists such as, Canadian, Walter Phillips. His works are in the collections of the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
