Caroline Alden Weir, known as Caro, was the daughter of the American Impressionist painter and member of the Cos Cob Colony in Greenwich, J. Alden Weir. She was a prolific book binder as well as painter and etcher. In 1912, Joseph Pennell taught her etching in New York City.
