A special touched working proof with velvety inking on watermarked laid paper printed by Tanner with the addition of china white highlights in the distant fields and on the roads. Some spots in the margins recto and glue stain in margin verso, all well away from the image.
This image was inspired by A.E. Houseman's poem, XIV, The Farms of Home lie lost in even.
