A superb strong impression printed in dark brown ink on Dutch laid paper. The quality and appearance of this impression suggests that it was printed by Frederick Goulding possibly after he had removed the steel facing from the plate.Although the Thames Set etchings had been printed on several occasions, Whistler acknowledged that Goulding’s impressions were without equal.
