Thames Police was ultimately issued in A Series of Sixteen Etchings of Scenes on the Thames and Other Subjects, now more commonly known as The Thames Set. This first appeared as a coherent entity in 1871, more than a decade after many of the prints were made. The present impression pre-dates this issue.
